By the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, the King Abdullah II Fund for Development was established under Law No. (13) of 2001 (later amended by Law No. (37) of 2004) with the aim of promoting sustainable development in the country. The Fund, in partnership with the public and private sectors, seeks to implement development projects and centers, especially in areas suffering from poverty and unemployment.
